A most special and important episode of Blue Is The Colour. The recent events that led to me considering whether to continue with Hill 16 Army along with my ongoing long battle with depression and anxiety meant the first podcast back would be an automatic topic. I also felt I had a duty to hopefully inspire those who suffer in silence to speak out and to assure those that are battling that they are not alone. Two good friends of mine, Mary Cummins and Dylan Gaynor, who I stand shoulder to shoulder with at Dublin matches, and who have battled depression, anxiety and suicidal thoughts joined me in sharing their stories. Raw, brave, honest and powerful stories of tackling and living with mental illness from three different people. If this episode helps even just one person then it’s job done.
